My Yoga, Pilates and L.B.T classes are for everyone, from complete beginners to advanced.
Yoga and Pilates are a great way to improve your endurance for other physical activities. After a workout, both these classes will help your body relax while stretching and strengthening. See separate, 'Class Descriptions' tab, for more information on each.
Yoga not only improves your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. Take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity.
I’ve been teaching fitness classes for over 22 years now, mainly in the Rotherham/Sheffield area, but also in Barnsley and Doncaster. With a current repertoire of teaching Pilates, Yoga and ‘L.B.T’ classes, as well as the likes of Les Mills BODYCOMBAT™, BODYPUMP™ and also Spin classes, I’ve pretty much taught it all over the years, except ZUMBA® (although I have taught a one-off ‘Latin Dance Aerobics’ class, which was quite the spectacle to behold! I will leave that to your imaginations and say no more!).
With regards to Pilates, I have taught this for over 7 years at various venues, including my own Fitness Studio, which I ran for a couple of years, in Rotherham. I also spent 5 years working as a Tutor for a nationally recognised fitness training provider, delivering Level 3 Pilates courses around the UK, for future instructors (as well as the Level 2 ‘Exercise To Music’ qualification, which is viewed by the industry as the ‘foundation qualification’ for all Group Fitness Instructors).
Pilates and Yoga are a ‘journey’. For improvements to be made, I try to educate my classes that these may take time, but with persistence, amazing things can be achieved. For the differences between them both, do see elsewhere on this site, under 'Class Descriptions'.
I teach the ‘Joseph Pilates’ method of PILATES and this includes educating my participants and giving valuable technique correction. All levels are catered for, but my classes are ideal for beginners or those with a variety of minor-intermediate issues (contact me if you are not sure!).
My YOGA classes follow the ‘Hatha’ method of practice and are generally less spiritual than many Yoga classes. However, there is always a ‘mind’ aspect to them, with various relaxation techniques included.
I qualified in the teaching of Yoga in 2017, but practiced it for around 4-5 years prior to that. Since 2018, I have been teaching around 9 Yoga classes per week, so have built up quite a varied repertoire.
Any questions – do message me and I will do my best to answer you. I look forward to welcoming you to one of my classes soon!
